The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Saum (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Saum (fasts) must be made up] from other days. The Great Allah Pak intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify The Great Allah Pak [i.e. to say Takbir (Allahu-Akbar; Allah is the Most Great) on seeing the crescent of the months of Ramadan and Shawwal] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him. (Al-Baqarah Shareef 2:185)
Transliteration: Shahru Ramađāna Al-Ladhī 'Unzila Fīhi Al-Qur'ānu Hudan Lilnnāsi Wa Bayyinātin Mina Al-Hudá Wa Al-Furqāni Faman Shahida Minkumu Ash-Shahra Falyaşumhu Wa Man Kāna Marīđāan 'Aw `Alá Safarin Fa`iddatun Min 'Ayyāmin 'Ukhara Yurīdu Allāhu Bikumu Al-Yusra Wa Lā Yurīdu Bikumu Al-`Usra Wa Litukmilū Al-`Iddata Wa Litukabbirū Allāha `Alá Mā Hadākum Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna (Al-Baqarah Shareef 2:185).

Surah Al-Qadr Shareef (The Night of Decree)
1 إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِالْقَدْرِ
Verily! We have sent it (this Qur'an Shareef) down in the night of Al-Qadr Shareef (Decree) (Al-Qadr Shareef 97:1)
2 وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ
And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr Shareef (Decree) is? (Al-Qadr Shareef 97:2)
3 لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِخَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
The night of Al-Qadr Shareef (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Great Allah Pak in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months). (Al-Qadr Shareef 97:3)
4 تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ
Therein descend the angels and the Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel) Alaihis Salam] by the Great Allah Pak His Permission with all Decrees, (Al-Qadr Shareef 97:4)
5 سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّى مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ
Peace! (All that night, there is Peace and Goodness from the Great Allah Pak to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn. (Al-Qadr Shareef 97:5)
Transliteration: 'Innā 'Anzalnāhu Fī Laylati Al-Qadri (Al-Qadr: 1).
Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Laylatu Al-Qadri (Al-Qadr: 2).
Laylatu Al-Qadri Khayrun Min 'Alfi Shahrin (Al-Qadr: 3).
Tanazzalu Al-Malā'ikatu Wa Ar-Rūĥu Fīhā Bi'idhni Rabbihim Min Kulli 'Amrin (Al-Qadr: 4).
Salāmun Hiya Ĥattá Maţla`i Al-Fajri (Al-Qadr: 5).
Giving its fruit at all times, by the leave of its Lord, and Allah sets forth parables for mankind in order that they may remember.
And the parable of an evil word is that of an evil tree uprooted from the surface of earth, having no stability.
[Surah Ibrahim Ayah 24-26]
'Ali bin Abi Talhah [Peace Be Upon Him] reported that 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas [Peace Be Upon Him] commented that the Great Allah Pak's statement,
a parable: a goodly word,
refers to testifying to La Ilaha Illallah, (none has the right to be worshipped but the Great Allah Pak) while,
as a goodly tree,
refers to the believer, and that,
whose root is firmly fixed,
indicates that La Ilaha Illallah, (none has the right to be worshipped but Great Allah Pak) is firm in the believers' heart,
and its branches (reach) to the sky.
with which the believer's works are ascended to the heaven. [At-Tabari 16:567]
Similar is said by Ad-Dahhak, Sa'id bin Jubayr, 'Ikrimah, Mujahiid and several others [At-Tabari 16:572-573] . They stated that this parable describes the believers deed, good statements and good actions. The believer's deeds, good statements and good actions. The believer is just like the beneficial date tree, always having good actions ascending at all times, by day and by night.
Al-Bukhari recorded that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar [Peace Be Upon Him] said, "We were with the Mesenger of Great Allah Pak, Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, when he asked,
"Tell me about a tree that resembles the Muslim, the leaves of which do not fall in summer or winter and gives its fruit at all times by the leave of its Lord."
Ibn 'Umar [Peace Be Upon Him] said, "I thought of the date palm tree, but felt shy to answer when I saw that Abu Bakr [Peace Be Upon Him] and 'Umar [Peace Be Upon Him] did not talk. When they did not give an answer, the Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, said,
"It is the date palm tree."
When we departed, I said to 'Umar [Peace Be Upon Him] 'My father, by the Great Allah! Pak I thought that it was the date tree.' He said, 'Why did you not speak then? I said, 'I saw you were silent and I felt shy to say anything.' 'Umar [Peace Be Upon Him] said, 'Had you said it, it would have been more precious to me than such things (i.e., would have been very precious to me).'" [Fath Al-Bari 8:228]
'Abdullah bin 'abbas [Peace Be Upon Him] said that,
as a goodly tree,
is a tree in Paradise [At-Tabari 16:573].
Allah said next,
Giving its fruit at all times,
It is said that it means by day and by night. and they say that describes the believer as a tree that always has fruits during summer and winter, by night and by day. This is the parable of the believer whose good works ascend to heaven by day and by night and at all times,
by the leave of its Lord,
thus earning perfection and becoming beneficial, plentiful, pure and blessed,
and the Great Allah Pak sets forth parables for mankind in order that they may remember.
Great Allah Pak said next,
And the parable of an evil word is that of an evil tree,
describing the disbeliever, for it has no basis or stability. It is similar to the colocynth tree (a very bitter, unscented plant) which is also called, 'Ash-Shiryan'. Shu'bah narrated that Mu'awiyah bin Abi Qurrah [Peace Be Upon Him] Narrated that Anas bin Malik [Peace Be Upon Him] said that it is the colocynth [At Tabari 16:569]. Great Allah Pak said,
uprooted,
meaning, was cutoff from the root,
from the surface of earth, having no stability.
therefore, existing without basis or stability, just like Kufr (disbelief), for it does not have a basis or roots. Surely, the works of the disbelievers will never ascend nor will any of them be accepted.
Verily! We have sent it (this Qur'an Shareef) down in the night of Al-Qadr Shareef (Decree) (Al-Qadr Shareef 97:1)

See you not how the Great Allah Pak sets forth a parable? A goodly word as a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky.Giving its fruit at all times, by the leave of its Lord, and Allah sets forth parables for mankind in order that they may remember.

Narrated By Abu Huraira [Peace Be Upon Him]:
The Great Allah's Apostle, Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, said, "Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, 'I am fasting." The Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam added, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times." (Sahih Bukhari Shareef)
Narrated By Sahl [Peace Be Upon Him]:
The Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, said, "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it." (Sahih Bukhari Shareef)
Narrated By Abu Huraira [Peace Be Upon Him]:
Allah's Apostle, Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, said, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained." (Sahih Bukhari Shareef)
Narrated By Abu Huraira [Peace Be Upon Him]:
The Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." (Sahih Bukhari Shareef)
Narrated By Abu Huraira [Peace Be Upon Him]:
The Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, said, "Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)" (Sahih Bukhari Shareef)
